A new flame is rising in the East. This lyricist combines maniacal rhymes with his bootyshakin' beats and comical originality. He goes by the name of Renni Beema.
Renni Beema is a multitalented individual. Not only does he rap, but he is also a producer and songwriter. His versatility has been proven in the many songs that he has written and produced. He can be a fierce, hardcore rapper, then switch to a commercial, laid-back flow, and will deftly add comedy to his music and rhymes. His open-mindedness with the music he writes and produces sets him apart from other artists in the world of hip hop.
22 year old Renni Beema was born and raised on the streets of Bedford-Stuyvesant. This is where he went through the ordeal commonly known as 'survival of the fit'. Experiencing danger and tragedy almost everyday of his life, the Brooklyn native defines street life in every aspect through his lyrics. He underscores the necessity of being real in his lyrics: "Growin' up in the Stuy was wicked. Cats rhymed on almost every street corner hoping to blow. But if you ain't got the mentality to back up your verbal fatalities, how you gonna blow?"
Since age 12, Beema planned to avoid any obstacles that blocked his path. He indeed did this; by doing anything ranging from live performances to traditional freestyling with his friends. Some of his performances include shows at Rio's Supper Club, New York Comedy Club and Club Speed. In the age of online music, Beema has been gaining recognition across the boards. His song "31 Flavas" was announced as Track of the Day on Garageband.com; one of the most renowned websites online geared towards the music community.
Currently, Renni Beema is producing tracks for rappers and singers as well as perfecting his flow. He does this by listening to all genres of music anything from classical to pop to hip-hop. He believes that it will make him open to all ideas in production and rapping. His first release entitled "Brooklyn's Mos Wanted EP" is currently available for sale at www.cdbaby.com and will be released commercially on October 12, 2004.
