Bad Boy Records is preparing to release BAD BOY'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY... THE HITS! on March 9, 2004. The release of the 10th ANNIVERSARY CD/DVD coincides with the seven-year anniversary of the death of Bad Boy rapper Notorious B.I.G. and is being acknowledged by the label as a gift to B.I.G. in honor of his talent and contributions to the label and the entire music industry.
The special collector's 10th Anniversary CD/DVD set contains some of the hottest artists and music to come out of Bad Boy Records including such early hits as, Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear," Notorious B.I.G.'s "Hypnotize," and more recently, Carl Thomas' hit "I Wish." Another highlight on the CD is a re-working of the 1997 hit, "Victory" renamed "Victory 2004."
"Victory 2004" features Notorious B.I.G., P. Diddy, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Lloyd Banks. 10th Anniversary also has a previously unreleased bonus song from the former rapper Mase.
The 60-minute DVD contains exclusive interview footage of P. Diddy talking about the past, present and future of Bad Boy Records, along with long-form versions of various Bad Boy videos. Bad Boy's 10th Anniversary CD/DVD not only commemorates the label's ten-year legacy as a hit factory, but shows the label's profound impact and influence on pop culture and its role in creating and shaping trends in music and fashion.
Although the CD/DVD features many artists, Notorious B.I.G. is at the forefront. "This is our way of celebrating him and thanking him," states Bad Boy's Executive Vice President, Harve Pierre.
