In the later half of the year 2000, a young three-piece aggressive punk band from Massachusetts changed their name to No Trigger. After a short tour to Chicago as well as recording a demo CD while in town, their show schedule slowed and the band seemed to lose momentum. In the fall of 2002, that momentum rekindled when No Trigger joined forces with another local punk band to create a five-piece and a more powerful sound. With the new line-up, Mike Ciprari (drums), Mike Pryzgoda (guitar), Tom Rheault (vocals), Tom Ciesluk (bass), and Jon Strader (guitar), came new goals as well as a more refined, thicker sound. Socially relevant lyrics highlight their mix of melodic and aggressive punk, recalling moments of Strike Anywhere, Against Me!, and Kid Dynamite.
Since forming as a five-piece, No Trigger has put out two independent releases (since released as one title, Extinction In Stereo, on Bigmouth Records in Japan), toured extensively, playing with bands such as None More Black, Bigwig, Small Brown Bike, Paint It Black, Glasseater, and A Wilhelm Scream. Nitro Records signed the band in March 2005. Currently, No Trigger is writing material for their debut full-length, slated for an early 2006 release.
