Vulture didn't write a presentation yet. I've found that I don't enjoy any definable genre, because the artists I like don't cater to such. Still, if you want to get technical, I like industrial rock with a splash of techno thrown in. I've only been listening to rock radio for about a year and a half, so I don't have quite the education in the rock genre that I would like to have. Basically, if I hear a song I like, in the majority of cases I like the artist(s) also. I only recently finished college (4-yr), so I'm pretty strapped for cash, but if I could go into a music store and get all the cd's I wanted, among the artists I would choose would be the following: STP, Alice in Chains (also Jerry Cantrell), Metallica (I particularly like LOAD), Godsmack (all albums), Rob Zombie (all albums), Mushroomhead, Killing Joke, Tool (maybe Perfect Circle), and some Ozzy and AC/DC thrown in for good measure. Again, I'm new at this, so I'm still finding artists, and their names, that I enjoy listening to. Believe it or not, I used to listen exclusively listen to country (shame, shame, I know), but most of the songs these days are like McDonald's hamburgers: they lack quality and substance. Quality doesn't seem to be as much of an issue, and is indeed a rare trait, in the country music industry. I like some songs, granted, but I just can't seem to wade through all the muck on the radio to get to listen them. Some call him a country musician (I don't), but regardless, I like Steve Earle a lot. |
