Australian word weaver and rap artist Macromantics packs plentiful punches with her rap songs. Macromantics, a.k.a Romy Hoffman, musters a tongue-twisting style that traverses a multitude of terrains. From comedy to tragedy, self-reflections to pop culture criticisms, Macro spits glitter-studded, diamond-sided tales of love, truth, beauty and chaos. Out of Melbourne Australia, Macro laments on the world at large. As philosophical as she is tongue in cheek, as serious as she is out-there, Romy’s witty little ditties will have you thinking and dancing, simultaneously, in one swift motion.

As fifteen year old guitarist in Ben Lee’s teen band Noise Addict, Macro first discovered Hip Hop on a trip to the US. Over the years she’s finely honed her MC skills, developing a unique style that reflects her eclectic taste and musical heritage.

'Moments In Movement' is the debut album for this Aussie rapper. Out in January on Kill Rock Stars, it’s as much an album for fans of pop culture as it is for the Hip Hop kids. Equally dark and spooky, light and fluffy, it's a perfect introduction into the mind and intrigue of Miss Macro.

Accompanied by her DJ Amy, a Macromantics live show is explosive, proving Romy is an inimitable talent both onstage as well as in the studio.
