Killa Klump is poised for a takeover with his new album FOUNDATION, and continuing the Rah Muzic movement of the Super-Hyphy sound that has become the Bay area’s new signature sound.
Klump, born Noah Kerrien, is not new to the game, his father David wrote and worked with people like Michael Jackson in the early 80’s. Klump was born with music in his soul. He started out in talent shows in the 2nd grade singing and developed a love for music. “This was in me before I was even born….my dad is a musician, my grandmother use to sing at functions and it is what it is, it’s in my blood”.
Growing up, Klump was surrounded by addictions and a dad that was always on the road and working; all that comes with the life in the music industry, which he has grown to love. Klump says in his rhymes, “Moms and pops fallen apart liquor was heavy, brother in and out of jail, beef handled alone, pops drunk I guess I learned to be a man on my on”, but he knows and says “that’s what makes me”.
“I’ve been through shit, I lived this shit which is why people feel me through my music.” Klump began floating in and out of Juvenile Hall, other detention facilities for adolescence at the early age of twelve years old. As a teenager at Western Samoa, he became a changed man. He abided by all the rules of the facility and received his GED. After serving a little over two years, Klump returned home in 2000.
When Klump arrived back home in 2000 and began rapping for real upon hooking up with a local friend, E-Lo from Most Vicious. E-Lo showed him the game. From there, Klump began putting in some major work in the studio which led him to signing his first record deal, which came to an end with creative and directive differences. Klump met the CEO of Rah Muzic, Al Keys earlier that year. Al liked his overall presence and talent and tried to sign him on the spot, but he was still in his first deal, so he didn’t take the offer.
Klump felt like it just wasn’t going to happen for him so he went back to the block and worked on some mix-tapes and a few albums such as, LouieLoc’s “Power Moves,” CTDC’s “The Arrival,” etc. in his spare time. Shortly after that he put out a double c.d./mix-tape album entitled “Trial’s and Tribulations” featuring Turf Talk, The Team, Doonie Baby, San Quinn, Coz and Rell Dirt.
Klump went to the lab with a producer was working on the Keak da Sneak project for Rah Muzic and produced “Best Sex” and “911”, two tracks that truly show his range as an artists. Al got a hold of the tracks and called Klump up right then and there to fly him out to San Diego, and they’ve been doing business together ever since including the Dopegame 3 and 4 projects, The “I’m Good” mix-tape with Yukmouth, and several other mix-tapes in the works such as The Noble, Klump and Lazie Bone mix-tape.
FOUNDATION is the ultimate album with features from Styles P of the Lox, J-BO from the Youngbloodz, Scarface, Yukmouth, Allen Anthony and many more. Klump is well on his way, making moves toward the top with a lot more time to come in the industry and endless talent to coincide.
The road has been long and tough for Klump now he is coming hard to kick the ass of anyone standing in his way... The focus is on his music, the game, gettin that money and continuing the movement of Killa Klump and Rah Muzic.
Watch... the Bay, Killa Klump, Rah Muzic are Super Hyphy! GO HARD!
