The next generation of pop-punk, Josephine Collective (JC), will release their major label debut "We Are the Air" digitally on June 24, it is confirmed today by their record company Warner Bros. Records. The entire album, produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Good Charlotte), is a fusion of pop, punk, screamo and hardcore elements that collectively result in a catchy, fun blend of tracks. "We Are the Air" features key tracks such as "Living," a happy-go-lucky, up-tempo-driven song and the hip-hop tinged "Leave Me Love," and explores teenage subject matters of rebellion, love, love-lost, friendships and ultimately trying to figure out growing up.
"I was just really digging in when we were writing and demoing these songs," Dillon Devoe said about making the record. "I really wanted to make sure these songs meant something to me down the road and not just right now. I was just exploring past life experiences and trying to capture that feeling of being hopeless and stuck in a small town and how cool it felt to get out and feel like you're figuring out the world."
Hailing from Kansas City, MO, the six piece, which includes 2 vocalists -- Devoe and Alex Sandate; guitarist Craig Swank; guitarist Damon Baltuska; bassist Colby Logback; and drummer Jared Bond -- prove to bring a musically vibrant and fresh energy with "We Are the Air."
JC will co-headline a U.S. tour with The After Midnight Project in support of their release, starting on June 30 in Phoenix, AZ at The One Place, as well as a few dates on this summer's Warped Tour (see dates below). Prior to this, JC has toured with The Used, The Bled, Madina Lake and Story of the Year.
