Jonny Lives! 'untitled' album

Imagine seeing the Beatles at the Cavern in Liverpool in 1963. Or the Who busting up their equipment at the London Marquee a year later. How about checking out the Rolling Stones at the Crawdaddy across from Richmond Station doing one of their early R&B/blues sets? Or the Ramones'15-minutes-and-a-cloud-of-dust performances at CBGB in 1976?

That's a little bit what it was like catching Jonny Lives! during their recent residency at the Lit on New York City's Lower East Side-the stunning realization you're there at the beginning of what could be the next big thing in rock & roll. Led by charismatic guitarist/vocalist Jonny Dubowski, the band at once evokes the classic garage-rock origins of those legendary groups, while updating the sound with unbridled enthusiasm on songs like the in-your-face anthem, “Get Steady.” In the tradition of Big Apple rockers from the Dolls to the Strokes, and part of a community which also includes the Mooney Suzuki, Fountains of Wayne and Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!'s Jonny Lives! are about to release their debut album through ADA. Be there from the beginning. This could be the start of something big.

*Jonny Lives! debut album is going to be released by the Warner Music Group incubator system in the second quarter of 2006.

*Touring through all major college radio station markets through first and second quarter 2006.

*The track “Cliché” features members of The Strokes (Nick Valensi), Mooney Suzuki (Sammy James Jr.) & Fountains of Wayne (Jodi Porter)

*In two years Jonny Lives! has toured the UK 6 times playing shows with Sonic Youth, Patti Smith, The Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers.
