At 19 years old Rod Black died. Four days later he was back in the emergency room, this time due to a near fatal car crash. It's no surprise that after not one, but two scrapes with the Reaper that Rod Black saw the light, and the reason for his life. Music is that light, as is the band he fronts, Jet Black Stare. Shane Hayes (bass), Flip (guitar) and Dave Muselman (guitar), and Dan Swinimer (drums) round out the Vancouver, British Colombia group that has become a vessel for their frontman's life and death stories.
