"The Black Album" marks the completion of an unprecedented journey to hip hop supremacy, by the undisputed champion, Jay-Z. This highly anticipated CD features tracks by Pharell, Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Just Blaze, just to name a few. A victory lap of sorts, The Black Album will be Jay-Z's final solo effort and marks the 10th full length album he's recorded in his music career. To put it simply, the "The Black Album" completes the circle!.

Never one to be outdone, Jay-Z is poised to take not only the music world by storm for the 10th time, but the literary and footwear industries by storm as well, with the nearly simultaneous release of two other majorproducts - the black S. Carter sneaker and The Black Book. There will be a major cross-promotional effort at retail to connect the dots between the sale of "The Black Album", as well as sale of the black S. Carter sneaker by Rbk, with major support from Footlocker.

The debut of the black S.Carter sneaker marks the latest edition to the extremely popular collection of footwear launched early in 2003 by Jay-Z and Rbk at retailers worldwide.

Published by MTV Books/Pocket Books, "The Black Book" is an intimate view into the private life of Jay-Z, through his own eyes. In his account of his life, Jay-Z speaks candidly about the tough choices he made growing up as a young man in Brooklyn?s Marcy Projects and how his experiences prepared him for his incredibly successful career.
