Jae P 'Atrevete' album

With his fourth production, “Atrévete”, Jae-P continues to work hard to remain in the affection he has managed to gain among his followers. This young artist wants to continue to be a beacon of hope and an example for all of “his people”. He continues to demonstrate with his music that everything can be achieved if we fight for our ideals.

“Nowadays, we all need support and hope. That's what I want to be for my people. I want to give them the hope that if we keep fighting we can get ahead. If it weren't for my fans, I would be nobody, so after God, I dedicate my entire album to them. My songs are not only stories about me, but also about a lot of people who come to me and tell me their experiences and give me a lot of material to keep making music”, Jae-P ascertains.

The rap artist's new material has 10 songs. It took approximately 5 months to produce and was recorded in Burbank, CA. The first single from the album is “Take It to the Floor” featuring Elika Crespo and produced by Fingaaz, who is most known for producing the hit “Lean Like A Cholo”. This album represents a big change for Jae-P in many aspects. This is because on this project he collaborated with several producers for the first time. As the Californian raised artist comments, “The beats are totally different because each producer has his or her own style and way of working. This is reflected in the final product”. The production of “Atrévete” was led by producers from the English speaking music industry such as Fingazz, PMG, Amilcar Monterroso, DJ Onodub and Teknizzle.

“Take It to the Floor” is one of the songs that clearly demonstrate the big changes in the artist’s career. “It's a song to listen to at the club, to be listened to on the radio... it is very different than what Jae-P is used to doing. It's a fun song where I interact with a girl at a club. It's very commercial because we wanted to do something different.”

Although Jae-P is debuting new producers and rhythms, he continues with the same message for Latino people that “You have to work hard, you have to get ahead and keep on struggling”. This new material included protest songs like “America”, that talks about the governor. There are songs to be played at night clubs and get everybody dancing. There are also songs with a big message for young people. A clear example of this is “No me quites la vida”, a song that tells the story of an abortion from the baby's perspective. It is mainly the narration of how the baby that is growing inside its mother realizes that she wants to get rid of him. The song tries to show this little one's feelings. “This is a song I am sure will impact everyone a lot because unfortunately, many young people go through this situation because they are out and about and sometimes don't want take responsibility for a new life. It will also impact those who have never gone through this. This is because we have all heard about someone we know that has made the decision of aborting or is going through a difficult situation”, comments the young rap artist.

Jae-P hasn't forgotten his family. Proof of this is the song “Mi Padre y Mi Madre”, which reflects the love the artist feels for his parents that have always been by his side to support him. He feels truly proud about them. He also thanks them for everything they have done for him and for the example they have always given him. “I'm not perfect, and as a human being, I make mistakes because when you're young, sometimes you don't think and things are really easy for us, and my parents have always been there to support me and they have always been with me. This is a very personal song where I try to show my parents what they mean to me.”

This album is a new experience, and very different to what Jae-P is used to. His 3 last discs have helped him grow a lot, and this last one is not the exception. “I have a very nice experience working with such different people...This is very important because this cooperation and this support between Jae-P and those who collaborate with me on the album shows in the final product. It is something that people can feel.”

During his career, Jae-P has won the Latino Disco de Oro certified by the RIAA for “Ni de Aquí Ni De Allá”, as well as for “Esperanza”. He has traveled with his music to cities throughout the United States and interestingly enough Japan.

Jae-P knows that his new production will quickly and effortlessly find its way to his audience's listening tastes because they have always supported him. The reactions have been very good because his followers know that Jae-P will always be increasingly working on improving and offering them quality music.

Con su cuarta producción, “Atrévete”, Jae-P sigue trabajando duro para mantenerse en el lugar que ha logrado ganarse entre el cariño de la gente que lo sigue. Este joven soñador, quiere seguir siendo una luz de esperanza y ejemplo para toda “su gente”, y sigue demostrando con su música, que todo se puede lograr si luchamos por nuestros ideales.

“Hoy en día, todos necesitamos apoyo y esperanza; eso es lo que quiero ser para mi gente. Darles esa esperanza de que si seguimos luchando podremos salir adelante. Si no fuera por mis fans yo no sería nada, asi que después de a Dios les dedico todo mi disco a ellos. Mis canciones son historias no solo propias, sino de mucha gente que viene y me cuenta sus experiencias y me dan mucho material para seguir haciendo música”, asegura el cantante.

Este nuevo material del cantante, contiene 10 temas, su producción duró aproximadamente 5 meses y fue grabado en la ciudad de Burbank, CA; y del cual se desprende como primer sencillo el tema “Take It to the Floor” con la participación de Elika Crespo y producido por Fingaaz. Este disco representa un gran cambio para Jae-P en muchos aspectos; ya que en éste colaboraron varios productores distintos a los que habían trabajado en los discos anteriores, y como nos comenta el cantante californiano “el ritmo es totalmente diferente porque cada productor tiene su estilo y manera de trabajar, y eso se refleja en el producto final”. La producción de “Atrévete” corrió a cargo de personajes de la industria de la música anglo como Fingazz; además participaron otros productores como PMG, Amilcar Monterroso, DJ Onodub y Teknizzle.

“Take It to the Floor” es uno de los temas que demuestra claramente los grandes cambios en la carrera del californiano. “Es una canción como para oírla en el club, para escucharla en la radio...es algo muy diferente a lo que Jae-P está acostumbrado a hacer. Es una canción divertida done intercambio con una chica que conozco en un club. Es muy comercial, pues queríamos hacer algo diferente”.

Aunque Jae-P está estrenando producción y ritmo, sigue con el mismo mensaje para la gente latina de que “hay que echarle ganas, hay que salir adelante y seguir luchando”. En este nuevo material se incluyen temas de protesta como “America”, que habla del gobernador; hay temas para tocarse en los night clubs y poner a todos a bailar, y por supuesto, temas con un gran mensaje para los jóvenes. Un claro ejemplo de esto, es “No me quites la vida”; canción que relata la historia de un aborto desde la perspectiva del bebé. Es principalmente la narración de cómo es que el bebé que está creciendo dentro de su madre se da cuenta que ésta quiere deshacerse de él y el tema trata de mostrar el sentimiento de este pequeñito. “Este es un tema que estoy seguro que impactará mucho a toda la gente, porque lamentablemente muchos jóvenes atraviesan por esta situación por andar de vagos y no se quieren hacer responsables de una nueva vida. Además impactará incluso a quienes nunca han pasado por esto, porque todos hemos escuchado de algún conocido que sí ha tomado la decisión de abortar o que se encuentra en esta difícil situación”, comenta el cantante.

Jae-P no se olvida nunca de su familia y prueba de esto es la canción “Mi Padre y Mi Madre”, la cual refleja el amor que el cantante siente por su padres que siempre han estado a su lado para apoyarlo y de quienes se siente realmente orgulloso; además les da las gracias por todo lo que han hecho por él y por el ejemplo que siempre le han dado. “No soy perfecto, y como humano, cometo errores porque uno de joven a veces no piensa y se nos hacen muy fáciles las cosas y mis padres siempre han estado ahí para apoyarme y han estado a mi lado siempre, esta es una canción muy personal donde trato de demostrar a mis padres lo que significan para mi”.

Este disco es una experiencia nueva y algo muy distinto a lo que Jae-P está acostumbrado; sus 3 discos anteriores le han servido al cantante para aprender de cada uno de ellos y este último no es la excepción. “Tengo una experiencia muy bonita de trabajar con tanta gente diferente...esto es muy importante, porque esa cooperación y ese apoyo que hay entre Jae-P y quienes colaboran conmigo en el disco, se nota en el producto final y es algo que la gente puede sentir”.

Durante su carrera, Jae-P se ha hecho acreedor a Disco de Oro Latino certificado por la RIAA tanto para “Ni de Aquí Ni De Allá”, como para “Esperanza” y ha recorrido con su música importantes áreas de tanto en Estados Unidos como en Japon.

El californiano sabe que su nueva producción logrará colocarse rápidamente y sin ningún problema entre el gusto de su público, ya que siempre lo han apoyado y las reacciones han sido muy buenas porque sus seguidores saben que Jae-P siempre está trabajando en mejorar cada vez más y ofrecerles música de calidad.
