Curb/Asylum Records artist Heidi Newfield (formerly of Trick Pony) is gearing up to release her first solo album, What Am I Waiting For. The CD, which features her chart-climbing single, "Johnny And June," will hit stores August 5th.

Tony Brown produced the project, which features a few tracks co-written by Newfield's former Trick Pony band-mates, Ira Dean and Keith Burns. Altogether Heidi co-wrote six of the 10 tracks, with songwriters like Hillary Lindsey, Jeffrey Steele and Dean Dillon.
