This year Halou celebrates 12 years as a band and returns with their most compelling work to date, the Sawtooth EP. Although still atmospheric and moody, the markedly harder edged sound of the new recordings also marks the addition of legendary guitarist Robin Guthrie [the Cocteau Twins] and cellist Zoe Keating [Imogen Heap/Rasputina]. Their hauntingly melodic contributions to the new record offer a great juxtaposition to the underlying heaviness of the new material.
