| The sirs of synth-pop, Erasure, launch their North American tour next week in New York, in support of their new album Nightbird, with a record-breaking 10 night run at Irving Plaza. After New York's appearances, Erasure will embark on an impressive 5 week tour of North America.
Saturday, April 16th at 4pm Erasure will make an in-store appearance at Borders Columbus Circle in New York, for a special Q&A session and to sign copies of their new album Nightbird. Fans can not only meet Andy and Vince, but enter to win a pair of tickets to their sold-out show that night on April 16th.
While in New York, Erasure will record a live performance for NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly", as well as a guest-host slot for the retro-fantastic "The Alternative" program on VH1 Classic. Airdates for both appearances are to be determined.
Erasure's brand new single, "Don't Say You Love Me", is released today, and is the follow up single to "Breathe," which steadily moved up the Billboard Club DJ Play Chart for 9 weeks before reaching #1 (March 19, 2005 Chart) and entered the UK Chart at Number 4 giving the band their 30th consecutive Top 40 hit. "Breathe" was #1 for 3 weeks on the Billboard Top Dance Single Sales Chart.
The "Don't Say You Love Me" CD Maxi Single includes brand new mixes from Mark Moore & Eon and A Touch Of Class (noted as ATOC below), a mix from Piney Gir featuring the St. Helen's Girl's Choir, plus an exclusive track, "Lie To Me." This enhanced CD includes the video for the single. This track listing is exclusive to North America!
