New York, NY – On Friday, February 8th at 11pm GC & Soul Mafia and Erika Rose will re-unite for another evening of pure musical bliss live at The Knitting Factory. Following a sold out performance in September both acts were called upon to re-produce what critics are calling the most uplifting and credible music showcase NYC has seen in 2007.

GC & Soul Mafia offers a vision of music looking towards the future, drawing from the past, but firmly entrenched in the present. Fronted by G.C., known as the "Jimi Hendrix of Hip-Hop" for his triple proficiency as an MC, guitarist, and saxophonist, Soul Mafia reflects influences as varied as Guns N' Roses to Jay-Z, Kenny Garrett to Prince, while ultimately landing within the graffiti tagged walls of hip-hop. The result is a Molotov cocktail of adept wordplay and searing saxophone riffs; hard beats and lush orchestration; technology and soul.

Erika Rose, the multi-talented, award winning songwriter best known for co-writing Alicia Key’s hit song “A Woman’s Worth”, has released her debut album entitled Rosegarden. Influenced by the artists of her parent’s generation, Erika sites Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Santana, Ani DiFranco, Sade and Joni Mitchell are inspirations for her fresh, new sound. Rosegarden is an eclectic blend of alternative, rock, pop, soul, jazz and funk. With its pulsating drums, electrifying vodoo guitar, and ornamental synth licks, this bohemian siren's angelic voice and impeccable harmonic prowess takes the listener on a cinematic musical journey.
