The connection exists somewhere between the melody and the energetic nature of volume. When seen at this level, you can see how the shapes deviate from the original sources, and you will soon see five as one. In the corner of this room, there exists a grouping that stretches beyond its years…I heard from a passerby it was called Evans Blue.
Evans Blue was formed just over a year ago when the five guys, then in three different bands, connected through a local musician’s message board. The chemistry of the group was evident from the first rehearsal. The same message board then brought the band to the attention of producer Trevor Kustiak of The Pocket Studios in Toronto, and they began working together in March 2005. Since then, the band has written and recorded their debut album, The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume, which will be completed in early November 2005 and released in February 2006 on The Pocket Recordings/Hollywood Records.
Evans Blue’s first single, “Cold (But I’m Still Here),” was added to Sirius Satellite Radio’s Octane Channel in early September and has been receiving Top 5 Requests for the past 3 weeks running. It was also just added to KUPD in Phoenix and was featured twice on Hard Drive Radio (115 US markets) in September. Hollywood has set the official radio impact date for December 6th.
EVANS BLUE is:
Vocals – Matisyn
Guitars – Parker Lauzon
Guitars – Vlad Tanaskovic
