Los Angeles’ own, Dengue Fever are confirmed for their first live dates in the UK and The Netherlands in May 2008. The band will make it’s UK debut at the Borderline in London on Tues. May 27, 2008. Dengue’s third CD, Venus On Earth has been getting overwhelmingly positive press in outlets like Mojo, Uncut, The Times, Songlines, fRoots and more. Currently the band is #14 on the CMJ Music Charts in North America. Dengue Fever are from the same indie rock scene that sparked bands like Cold War Kids, Giant Drag, Silversun Pickups, Dios (Malos) but Dengue’s Khmer-rock leanings have garnered significant interest from the world music community which culminated in their appearance at WOMEX in 2007.
