Decca Records will release ‘Get the Party Started’ by the “formidable force of nature” (Q Magazine) Shirley Bassey, the distinctive vocalist famous for her three James Bond themes “Goldfinger,” “Diamonds are Forever” and “Moonraker.” Bassey’s first album in almost ten years -- out March 4th -- celebrates her 70th birthday and combines 13 brilliant songs in a combination of new recordings and remixed and re-worked tracks by some of today's hottest producers.
‘Get The Party Started’ features new recordings, new vocals and remixes of classic tracks including “Big Spender,” “You Only Live Twice,” “I Will Survive,” the infectious new single “The Living Tree” and the searing title track- a newly recorded version of Pink's “Get The Party Started.” Bassey worked closely with producers such as The Glimmers, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Bugz in the Attic, Restless Soul and Mungolian Jet Set to give these tunes a fresh, vibrant new sound. Her constant reinvention has earned her a tremendous and loyal following- she performed to over 150,000 fans at last summer’s prestigious Glastonbury Festival.
