Brian McComas has signed an exclusive recording agreement with Katapult Records, it was announced today by Jim Butler, Sr. VP Product Development of the Nashville based label.

McComas, whose first hit single “99.9 Sure” launched him as an exciting newcomer to watch, has become one of the fastest rising male artists to reach Top 10 status in the current industry environment. His initial album release for Lyric Street Records, self titled simply “Brian McComas” streeted and has continued a healthy sales tracking.

The second single from Brian McComas, “You’re In My Head,” became an instant Top 20 record at radio and the Maryland born artist (he grew up in the heart of the Ozarks) received good tour response from both fans and country music audiences on the road recently with Rascal Flatts and Chris Cagle.

    Biography

    - In the heart of the Ozarks, Brian grew up in Harrison, Arkansas.

    - Brian is a sports fanatic.

    - Brian just finished Back Up Again his new self produced album due out early 2006.

    - Brian's first radio single '99.9 % Sure" was an instant Top Ten hit for 5 weeks.

    - The video for '99.9 % Sure" shot to #2 on CMT's Top 20 Countdown.

    - Brian's second single, 'You're In My Head" was a Top Twenty hit and the video was a staple on CMT's Top 20 Countdown.

    - Over the past Two years Brian has played on two major concert tours, CMT's Most Wanted Live Tour and the Coors Light Rascal Flatts Melt Tour.

    - Brian recently founded Chords That Count, an Academy Of Country Music endorsed non-for-profit organization that uses music as a tool to encourage young people to follow their dreams.

Brian was born in Bethesda, Maryland, but moved to Harrison, Arkansas at the age of four. He grew up in the Ozark Mountains where he developed his love and passion for all types of music, but set out to pursue a career in Country Music as a singer/songwriter when he moved to Nashville in the late 1990s.

Brian's songwriting led to his first publishing deal and eventually his record contract with Disney's Lyric Street Records in late 2000. His self-titled debut album produced four top 40 hits including the top 10 hit '99.9% Sure" and the follow-up top 20 single 'You're In My Head". In addition, Brian has enjoyed success on all country music video outlets boasting continual airplay. That success has led to a full schedule of touring dates over the last two years, including spots on CMT's 'Most Wanted Live" arena tour and the 'Coors Light Melt Tour" with Rascal Flatts. Those tours, coupled with his appearances in clubs, fairs, festivals and amphitheatres across the country, have given Brian the opportunity to impact hundreds of thousands of people. 'Playing to those sell-out crowds laid the foundation for the new music. I'm excited to hit the road because this album was made to play live." says Brian.

With the project recently finished Brian is preparing for its release in 2006.
