Ashton Allen - Dewdrops

Livewire Recordings has announced the release of singer/songwriter Ashton Allen’s forthcoming debut album, “Dewdrops” on September 27th via Livewire/ Fontana/ Universal. Drawing comparisons to Simon and Garfunkel, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake and Kings of Convenience, Ashton Allen's songs are honest, and his upcoming release "Dewdrops" is a testimony to that from beginning to end.

Incorporating vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, banjo, bass, drums, piano, organ, live strings and horns, the Jacksonville, Florida native’s “Dewdrops” is a brilliant, organic mix of acoustic based songs, coupled with layered melodies of sound that will capture the heart and attention of all who hear it.The 14-song set speaks frankly of Ashton’s own humanity, of a pride that battles humility, of loss in search of an explanation and ultimately, but most importantly, of love. Ashton has a natural ability to draw from within, expressing himself through a tapestry of words and music.

Produced by Colin Cobb (Junior Varsity, LFO, Mister Popular, TLC), “Dewdrops” was recorded over a 15 week span at Vintage Vibe Studios in Atlanta, GA, Treasure Isle in Nashville, TN, and Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA.

Currently out on tour prepping the release of this stellar debut album, Ashton Allen will be making his debut performance at the CMJ Conference in New York as well as dates throughout the southeast, east coast and making his way west this fall/winter.
