Jason Robertson (a k a Aqua Bassino) currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. From a very early age, Jason has played in bands as a guitarist/bassist (hence the Bassino) and progressed to session work not only with his guitar and bass, but with drums and percussions also, taking him to London, Ibiza and beyond.
By 1992 Jason had moved back to Edinburgh and had shifted his attention away from the traditional band formula and began experimenting with samplers and synths (while still maintaining his extensive love and knowledge of life playing).
His early track were on an ambient house tip but gradually moved on more upbeat material. Unfortunately in November of 1994, due overworking in his studio, Jason developed R S I (repetitive strain injury) also known as tendinis in his right arm. Even with this handicap Jason still manageg to produce a demo for F Communications in France, a label that he has always highly respected.
The first Aqua Bassino 12 inch, « swirl » EP, came out the 30th of October 96 on F Communications. « Deeper » the last EP came out in February 97 with the same beautiful productions of house very very deep… Look for his first album”Beat’s n bobs” , to be released in July 2001.
