[Q]: First off, love the new 'leaked' song 'Carry Out'. What's the story behind the song?
The record was very catchy and I loved it the first time I heard it. So I decided to put my own little spin to it.
[Q]: Will the new album be in the same style or can we expect something new/different?
The album is definitely gonna stay in the pop genre but the music backing it will be different. I'm a producer so my brain is always going in a million directions when it comes to the production side.
[Q]: It seems to me that your dreams came true. What other dreams are you planning to fulfill?
Well I am definitely blessed to be in the position I am. But my future plans are to go quadruple platinum and have Indie Music Group (my manager and I's record label) be a powerful and successful Major label.
[Q]: Was it not possible to combine music with sports while attending school?
It was definitely a challenge. But not only was sports a distraction, girls were as well! Lol They still are but I'm "more responsible" now to handle them both.
[Q]: Were you interested in studying music in college?
I tried for one day, but when my teacher broke out a folk cd, I then realized school was not gonna teach me what I need to know.
[Q]: In a way your father started it all. What part does he still play in your career and even your music?
He's plays my spiritual advisor lol. But seriously in a way he does. He's my father and I know will always have my back.
[Q]: You can say that your diversification is originated off your father's diversification in music (drummer, dj, studio, etc...). In what way is your style/career different, or the same, from your fathers?
Well he was more into the rock/band thing. I mean a lot of his traits rubbed off on me but I can tell you, put him in front of a SSL console, and his head would he spinning!
[Q]: What is your main goal to reach as an artist?
Longevity in the music business.
[Q]: When creating a track, do you have a set theme and pre-written lyrics, or do you start with an idea or the music first?
Work flow always changes. There's never a right or wrong way to start a song. Sometimes I'll start with the beat, then sometimes I might have a song done in my head and I need to make a track for it.
[Q]: What collaborations could your fans look out for in the future?
Well I just did a record with Gucci Mane. It came out crazy. I have a lot of secret collaborations though that I think a lot of people will be surprised by.
[Q]: "Know thy limits." In what way is it a limit to not want to have any limits?
Hmm well I guess I'll never know the answer to that ha. I think people are destined for greatness from the day they take their first breath. So it's up to them if they want to "know thy limits" or break past that and live dreams.
[Q]: Recently, what is a typical day like for you? Enjoying the summer?
Well since I love Miami, it'd be waking up early on south beach, finding a chair to lay on. And pass out in the sun all day. Then splurge on the Miami night life!
[Q]: Final words?
